SPLIT 1 is a chair sporting a modern, minimal design: The shell is the same as the Split chair, but this time, the legs are made from steel, which comes in a galvanized option, coated in the same colour as the seat, or chrome plated.
Split 1 features a highly versatile design given the endless colour combinations and the fact it can be stacked, up to 6 high. The chair model is suited to public settings, like bars and restaurants - paired with the tall bar stool in the same design - or study halls, conference rooms and libraries.
This seating collection, designed by Francesco Meda, includes several versions, differing in size and the material used for the frame, which comes in a choice of plastic, wood or metal.

Francesco Meda
Francesco Meda, born in Milan in 1984 and a graduate in Industrial Design from the IED in 2006, began his career in London, working at the studios of Sebastian Bergne and Ross Lovegrove.
