VESPER 2, with its glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene shell and steel legs, is a modern-looking chair, designed as an armchair alternative to its armless Vesper 1 counterpart.
The armchair's elegant shape makes the product suitable for public spaces - like restaurants, bars and waiting rooms - as well as home use, for the dining room or lounge. With its comfortable seat, it makes an attractive alternative used as a chair for study halls and libraries.
The collection designed by Cristoph Jenni has a unique technical feature: the organic-shaped shell works actively with the steel frame to give the product its stress resistance. This solid connection between the components means less material is required for its manufacture, while still ensuring high performance in terms of strength, longevity and comfort.
This line of research has culminated in Vesper 2: a sturdy chair with a light and understated look.
Available in seven colours, with a white, black or chrome metal frame, the Vesper chair comes with a choice of fixed or swivel base, the option of armrests, and also comes in a stool version.
Brazilian culture and Swiss training: Christoph Jenni's design combines two very different social legacies. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1976 to Swiss immigrants, he chose to study in his parents' homeland, graduating with a degree in industrial design from the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Aarau.
